Torey Pudwill began his adventure with Grizzly Bear Griptape when he was only 12 years old. It started as a game to get some money, selling wax in the skatepark to his mates. The logo was pure chance, since to make the wax he used a kitchen mold that was shaped like a bear. From there he went to customize griptapes for him and his friends with his logo, but then he abandoned the business when he became a professional skater. Over the years, Torey decided that he wanted to do more than skate... and talking to the owner of Diamond, he told him about his teenage project and decided to go for it. Since then, little by little, Grizzly has become one of the two leading brands in terms of skate griptape, along with MOB.
