Girl was founded in 1993, when a group of riders from the World Industries team decided to create their own company. The main figures of that decision were Carroll and Howard. Their objective was to find something for their future, for when their careers were over. Other great riders who joined the project and helped Girl become what it is today were guy Mariano, Ferguson, Sean Sheffey, and some more. The famous Girl Skateboard logo, which is the figure of the girl that can be seen at the doors of public toilets, was designed by Andy Jenkins who still works in the company nowadays.
